Mobile Money Guyana supports GKC Festival

GT&T’s Mobile Money Guyana (MMG) in celebration of its one- year milestone has joined in support of the Guyana Karate College (GKC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism for the International Food and Drink Festival- Guyana set for April 19 at the Everest Cricket Club.

The handing over of sponsorship to the GKC took place on Wednesday at the Mobile Money office on Croal Street. The MMG contribution will go towards the successful execution of the event. The event is geared towards raising funds for the completion of the new Dojo, currently under constrcution at Liliendaal.

Marketing Officer of MMG, Kester Abrams, said, “Considering several recent events involving our Guyanese youths, the future of the country; MMG is very proud to support this initiative. Karate promotes discipline and consciousness which can prove vital in the development of our youths and the nation as a whole.”

Vice-president of the GKC, Waynewright Orderson, said, “Thanks to GTT and MMG for the support we have received over the years, the College looks forward to your continued involvement in the development of karate in Guyana.”

Managing Director of MMG, Eshwar Thakurdin, stated, “GT&T Mobile Money applauds the effort of the College and will continue to support initiatives that promote healthy lifestyles and discipline.”
